Roundtable on Researching the Religious Situation

On February 6, 2025, the Center for the Study of the Religious Situation under the State Commission for Religious Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic held a roundtable with the participation of government bodies that have research and analytical c enters. The main objectives of the event were to become acquainted with the analytical centers of government bodies, exchange experience in researching and analyzing the religious situation, and discuss joint actions to address pressing issues in this field. During the roundtable, the Center for the Study of the Religious Situation presented its activities and the results of recent studies. Representatives of the invited government bodies shared information about their work related to the religious situation and discussed current issues and possible ways to address them. As a result of the event, the participants developed a number of important proposals, including: • strengthening cooperation among government bodies in researching the religious situation and sharing information; • organizing joint events between analytical centers to prevent religious radicalism; • providing government bodies with information-analytical support by developing scientific and practical research. Based on these proposals, further cooperation with the relevant government bodies is planned.
